Janie Petkus was selected as recipient of the "Residential Designer of the Year" by the Chicago Design Sources and The Chicago Merchandise Mart. In 1994 she was elected to the College of Fellows of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) for her "outstanding service to the organization and notable achievements in the field of interior design." Her work has been published nationally in numerous publications including House Beautiful, Interior Design, Midwest Living, Better Homes and Gardens, Redbook, and Traditional Home. In addition, local publications include the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, and Chicago Home and Garden.
